Ferocity
The path of the Dark Jedi mirrors that of the Jedi in many ways, combat is one of them. It is in this trial that one displays that he or she is more of a match for a Jedi or anything the universe can throw at them. This is a test of skill with a lightsaber that, unlike the Jedi, isn't done the safety of a trial chamber. You either pass and prove your self worthy of the title of Dark Jedi Knight, or you die.
Strength
Dark Jedi often work alone, though this is not always the case. They always move towards a goal. Often this means working with people you wish to see dead more than anything. Without the help of a master, this trial is completed by going out to complete a task, your own, your masters, or a mutual goal, and either accomplish it alone... or convince your worst enemies (RPed by some one else) that it is in their best interest to help you. Often this means working with the jedi but this is not required.
Pain
The ability to survive and endure great amounts of pain without turning away from the task at hand but to rather use it to fuel your passion and press on with zeal. The pain need not be from an injury, though nearly fatal wounds and dismemberment during a mission are commonly accepted as grounds for passing, this could also be a severe emotional trauma such as loosing a family member or a spouse after joining the Dark Jedi Order (You must RP it out).
Control
In this trial, a Dark Jedi enters a deep meditative trance of self discovery. One must find his or her own desires and goals. This must be used to bring out their inner passion. Once this has been done, the Dark Jedi also faces their inner most demons. This is often enough to drive some one to the brink of insanity. The apprentice, ALONE, must not only embrace but conqure this inner darkness and control it. It will become a source of power for a Dark Jedi. Those who pass become Dark Jedi Knights, those who fail, are lost to madness forever.
Glory
This trial can be easy to pass but quite hard to predict when you'll be put through it as it is not one controlled by the Dark Jedi Order. An apprentice must become aware of just how mortal he or she is. Yet unlike the Jedi, who would be humbled by such a thing, the Dark Jedi take this as a motivation to make the biggest impact on the universe. Being almost killed by a common thug is often enough to pass.
